What scraps are too small?
A question I often ask myself as I head to the wastebasket with a handful of scraps. I keep alot of little pieces...with
fusible attached or without...you just never know . My local quilt guild offered a challenge to be completed for our June meeting. The theme is "Anything
To Do With Food" ...hummm sounds interesting. So I went to my scrap bag...as food means chocolate right?!...snatched
up all shades that reminded me of chocolate...even raided my sister's scrap bin for a few pieces. I've always wanted
to try something with small pieces and after taking a paper piecing class I knew what I wanted to try. So here are a
few pics to show my "Death By Chocolate" entry for the challenge........The piece measures out at 11 3/4 inches
and contains 165 pieces, the "chocolates" are 1" square and the black sashings are 1/4" ...hence
the name. lol

Welcome to Andi Panda!
I'm so glad you've stopped in! This is an exciting undertaking for me. I've been a "hobby sewer" forever....it
seems. I love making one of a kind pieces for family and friends....handprint quilts, t-shirt quilts, kids
costumes, wall art etc. I guess you could say "the word got out" and I am now doing other custom pieces.
My passion comes in looking at the fabrics, touching the textures, learning a little about the person and the project,
then coming up with a design that "speaks to me".
Since this is the new millenium...ha, I'm only a few
years behind...I'm joining the techno age and trying out my own web site. Please check back often as things will be
progressing here at andipanda.com. You will see works in progress and completed projects. You will be able to
visit the Andi Panda store to get your own one of a kind fabric creation. If you see something you want
but would like it in another fabric, let me know and we can explore the options.
